The Engineers Society of Pennsylvania offers free to its members two outstanding social events every year:
- The picnic occurs in August at the Lisburn fire Company grounds and features steaks, corn on the cob,
any many other summertime favorite foods as wells as a number of sports and other activities.
Throughout the year, there are also other events subsidized by the Society…
- Dinners with featured speakers and topics of interest to engineers
- Tours of local construction sites, factories, and businesses
The society also helps to promote engineering to students by…
- Judging local science fairs
- Helping with in-school presentations to students
- Awarding engineering scholarships
